3 Phase Plan for Ukraine
Burns don’t wait for ceasefires. Neither does BAN.
We need your financial support.
Last week, BAN returned from another healthcare mission to Haiti — our second in two years — providing lifesaving burn care for children.
Now we are immediately turning our focus to our Ukrainian Burn Trauma Rescue to provide vital aid to children and other civilians who have suffered unimaginable injuries in a mass disaster.

Our mission partners include the same team of Israeli burn and trauma surgeons who participated in our previous surgical and teaching missions in Haiti.
Once again, we are working in conjunction with Sheba Medical Center which opened a 66-bed field hospital last month on the border of western Ukraine.
The hospital is staffed by 80 doctors, nurses and support staff from Sheba, Israel’s largest hospital and National Burn Center. Without question they are the best trained and equipped team to triage and save burned children.

Please help us do for Ukraine what we Accomplished in Israel & Haiti
Twelve years ago we took action after Haiti’s devastating earthquake, delivering 50,000 pounds of medical supplies and equipment at a time when few were able to work around the logistical barriers. With that experience under our belt, I am confident that the medical supplies and equipment we ship to Ukraine will get into the hands of front-line healers and the hospitals that will treat casualties.

Phase 1: Support & Supply
Support the Sheba Field Hospital and frontline healers by raising funds and supplying burn related medical supplies like bandages, Silvadene, burn debridement and skin grafting equipment.
Phase 2: Surgical Missions
Launch surgical missions to Ukraine in partnership with world class burn surgeons and therapists to treat and teach. Donate the first of what we hope are many Israeli-made state-of-the-art lasers for scar rehabilitation without the need for more invasive surgeries.
Phase 3: Ukraine Burn Camp
Create Ukraine’s first specialized camp to address the psychological trauma that afflicts all pediatric burn survivors, especially those whose trauma was compounded by the horrors of war. As we do at our Camp SABABA in Israel, campers will be evaluated for laser therapy or advanced treatment and reconstructive procedures at dedicated burn centers.

Burn Care Needs Urgent Care.
Burn Advocate Network continues to support our projects and burn camps in Israel, Haiti and Brazil. But Ukraine presents a once-in-a-generation humanitarian crisis. We need your help to save lives and reduce suffering.

Sincerely,
